Laura Kennington is a British adventure athlete, author and speaker with a passion for the endurance capability of the human body. She has a passion for the ocean and endurance adventures. Previously, she embarked on a sailing trip on board a 72ft yacht, with an organisation that specialises in plastic pollution research,
She’s keen to inspire others to follow their dreams and to also to spread the message of how important it is to protect the ocean.
Previous adventures include solo kayaking a section of the Volga river in Russia, from source to sea, solo cycling all 1600 miles of the world’s longest coastal route in Ireland, solo cycling Scotland’s North Coast 500 route, running the length of Fuerteventura (100 miles) in 4 days and circumnavigating three of the Channel Islands using three different sporting disciplines.
Her most notable adventure (so far!) has been cycling 3700 miles along the North Sea-facing coasts of 8 countries, from Scotland to Norway and in 2022 she co-hosted a group trek to the base camp of the fifth highest mountain in the world, Makalu in Nepal.
A strong believer in the positive impact that adventure and sport can have on children and adults alike, Laura uses her human powered journeys as a platform to inspire and encourage others.
